At times, we need to know internal IP assigned to our PC or laptops connected over a network. This might be required to connect another device, or for a file transfer, desktop sharing etc.
Method 1: Using the Settings app
Click on the Start menu in the bottom-left corner of your screen.
Click on the “Settings” icon (gear icon).
Click on “Network & Internet” in the Settings window.
Click on “Wi-Fi” or “Ethernet” (depending on your network connection).
Scroll down and click on “Properties.”
Your IP address will be listed next to “IPv4 address.”
Method 2: Using the Command Prompt
Click on the Start menu in the bottom-left corner of your screen.
Type “cmd” in the search bar.
Click on the Command Prompt app in the search results.
Type “ipconfig” in the Command Prompt window and press Enter.
Your IP address will be listed next to “IPv4 Address.”
Method 3: Using the Control Panel
Click on the Start menu in the bottom-left corner of your screen.
Type “Control Panel” in the search bar and click on the app in the search results.
Click on “Network and Sharing Center.”
Click on your network connection (it will have a blue link).
Click on “Details.”
Your IP address will be listed next to “IPv4 Address.”

These methods should work for most versions of Windows, including Windows 10, Windows 8, and Windows 7.
